Here's one from June 2013. I was up in my old stomping grounds of South Lancaster in central Massachusetts for a graduation. After the festivities I went for a drive and was in awe of the great clouds in the sky. This is a rarity in Los Angeles. I came across this field and went to town.
At the time I still hadn't gotten my Canon 7D and shot this with a Canon T3i. I used a Canon EF 28mm 1.8 USM lens at 7.1, 1/640sec with my ISO at 100 to shoot this 5 shot panorama in RAW, all manual settings. Lightroom didn't have the feature to stitch together photos, so this was done in Photoshop.
This scene captivated me with its simple and calm beauty. It was so quiet and peaceful I could have shot there all day if it weren't for the mosquitos. I think I spent a good hour exploring and photographing this landscape. Soon, I'll be showing you more of what California has to offer, so stay tuned!
